Sildenafil citrate - Silagra drug interactions

Silagra (sildenafil citrate) is a generic version of Viagra, marketed by Cipla. It is a pharmaceutical grade medicine, which is regularly prescribed to men who are dealing with chronic or severe impotence or erectile dysfunction.

Do not take this medicine if you are taking nonprescription or prescription medications, especially any nitrate medications (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate), nitroprusside (any "nitric oxide donor" medicines), cimetidine, erythromycin, azole antifungals (e.g., itraconazole, ketoconazole), mibefradil, rifamycins (e.g., rifampin) or high blood pressure medicines.

Silagra may also interact with the following:

* cisapride
* methscopolamine nitrate
* other sildenafil products (Revatio, Aurogra, Kamagra, Viagra etc.)
* certain drugs for high blood pressure
* certain drugs for the treatment of HIV infection or AIDS

Avoid drinking alcohol, which can increase some of the side effects of sildenafil. Also avoid using other medicines to treat impotence, such as alprostadil (Caverject, Muse, Edex) or yohimbine (Yocon, Yodoxin, others), without first talking to your doctor.
