Celebrex is indicated for the management of Acute Pain (AP) in adults and Primary Dysmenorrhea (PD). Recommended dosage The recommended dose of Celebrex is 400 mg initially, followed by an additional 200 mg dose if needed on the first day. On subsequent days, the recommended dose is 200 mg twice daily as needed. Use lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with treatment goals for the individual patient. Clinical Studies for Analgesia, including Primary Dysmenorrhea In acute analgesic models of post-oral surgery pain, post-orthopedic surgical pain, and primary dysmenorrhea, Celebrex relieved pain that was rated by patients as moderate to severe. Single doses of Celebrex provided pain relief within 60 minutes. |
