Wartec cream cause fast resolution of genital warts

Wartec cream - Podophyllotoxin is used to remove certain types of warts on the outside skin of the genital areas (penis or vulva). The cream is used also to treat warts between the genitals and the rectum. Podophyllotoxin works by destroying the skin of the wart.

Wartec - Wartek contains podophyllotoxin in a white cream base for topical application. It is an antimitotic. Podophyllotoxin is derived from the roots of the Indian podophyllum planta metaphase and is inhibitor of dividing cells. Podophyllotoxin solution is used to treat warts on the outside of the genitals. It causes the wart to die and eventually peel off. It acts by preventing viral wart cells from dividing and multiplying. Eventually all the wart cells die and new healthy cells grow in their place. It has mild side effects and is well-suited for treatment at home.

Wartec, also called podophyllotoxin, is a purer and more stable form of podophyllin in which only the biologically active portion of the compound is present. Like podophyllin, it is used to treat genital warts. It has several advantages of podophyllin, however.

First, Wartec - Wartek can be self-administered, whereas the local and systemic toxicity of podophyllin necessitates its application by medical personnel. Wartec is also generally more effective, causing faster resolution of warts. Recurrence of resolved warts after Wartec treatment occurs at a 23% rate, compared to a 38% rate with podophyllin treatment. Like podophyllin, Wartec treatment cannot be used during pregnancy.
