Tamiflu (oseltamivir) against swine flu

Recommendations to prevent infection by the virus consist of the standard personal precautions against influenza. This includes frequent washing of hands with soap and water or with alcohol-based hand sanitizers, especially after being out in public. Roche, the maker of Tamiflu (oseltamivir), said the company is prepared to immediately deploy a stockpile of the drug if requested.

Tamiflu treats flu at its source by attacking the virus that causes the flu, and make the patient feel better faster. Tamiflu may also prevent serious flu complications.
